2010 Holiday Fun with Friends!

The holiday festivities are in full force! Wednesday night we went to Kim and Jon's Holiday Party... we had fun holiday drinks and delicious desserts, all while catching up with our gang!

Friday night Ry and I went down to Balboa Island after dinner to see all the amazing Christmas decorations.... we usually go during the boat parade but we decided it gets way too crowded so we went before... it was so peaceful and beautiful... we will beat the crowds every year from now on!

Saturday morning we met Steve and Ashley at Peet's for holiday coffee's and then went for a nice long walk... we started off at the St. Regis and got to show Steve and Ash where we got married... they took a picture of us in front of the fountain where we took our group wedding pictures!

From there we walked along the beach and up to the Ritz Carlton, there we got to see their annual gingerbread creation... this year it was a Ford Car with surfboards... all made out of candy! So creative and cute... called for a group photo!

One more picture in front of the Ritz Carlton Christmas tree... I love how all-out these resorts go for the holidays... so festive.

Saturday night Ry and I had date night and we went to Rodger's Gardens first... this place puts me in the best mood!! We then went to R&D Cafe, had a bottle of Rombauer at their bar... now this is Christmas!

Happy on Rombauer, we made our way to see Fashion Island's Christmas Tree and then we wanted to try a new restaurant so we went to True Foods Kitchen... had a great meal and chocolate souffle that topped off our fun holiday weekend perfectly. Less than two more weeks until Christmas here we come!

Pelican Hill Holiday Party & Mikulas

For the second year, I had the honor of coordinating our 2nd Annual Holiday Party for my work and with my boss' generous credit card, I was able to plan our overnight holiday party at the Pelican Hill Resort... what an amazing experience!

We checked in Saturday afternoon... we each had a bungalow and oh boy, what a beautiful room this was... the pictures just don't do it justice!

After making sure our banquet room looked perfect, Ry and I toasted with a drink at the Andrei's bar- overlooking the beautiful ocean sunset.

We then headed back to our bungalow to get ready for the big night... Ry looked dapper as always and I tried to look as presentable as possible!

We had a cocktail reception with delicious hand-passed hors dourves followed by an even more delicious 4-course dinner... we ended off the night with drinks, toasts, speeches, dancing and more drinks... the party was a success and I was relieved everything turned out perfectly and that it was over!

Sunday morning we ordered breakfast to the room and had it on our balcony overlooking the ocean... we then took the Pelican Hill shuttle down to the beach for a nice long walk and we ended our stay with a nice soak in their spa... the perfect day, really!

We had such a great night, we did not want to leave!! It was our pre-holiday treat before all the holiday craziness begins...

And to kick off the Czech holiday traditions, Sunday night we celebrated our famous Czech holiday- Mikulas (or St. Nick's Day). My mom bakes St. Nick's and we eat them with her home-made egg nog... yum!

Nothing better than the holiday season, I love all of the special festivities we celebrate and we have so much more to come :)
