We finally closed escrow on Tuesday so we are officially home owners!! We couldn't be more pleased with our home and we are so grateful to finally be at this point. Our shutters were installed throughout the home on Wednesday... what a difference wood shutters make!
Thursday we had most of our deliveries arrive... washer/dryer, area rug, all of our new furniture for the living room and master bedroom... thank goodness all of the furniture fit perfectly... it's always hard to choose furniture according to your "supposed" recollection of how big the space is!
Friday our storage containers arrived and the movers unloaded all of our things, it was so good to have our belongings back! We worked very hard all weekend unpacking boxes, organizing, placing furniture, hanging fixtures, finding the perfect spots for our art... needless to say, it was exhausting!
By Sunday we felt like we made a substantial dent in our workload however, our two most important deliveries didn't come in on time... the fridge and our mattress!! We are so bummed because this delays us a week but thankfully my parents graciously offered for us to hang tight at their home until everything arrives. So our new plan is to officially move in on Sunday, November 21st, we are thrilled and cannot wait!
