Since Ryan's dad's birthday happened to land on a Saturday that the Clippers and Oklahoma Thunder played at Staples, we decided what perfect way to celebrate his birthday then by surprising him at LA Live for some dinner and basketball?
We surprised Cliff by showing up at Katsuya... not surprising that we found them at the bar! It was so fun to surprise him, he was really touched. We had a delicious sushi dinner and toasted to both of our birthdays! At dinner we gave him his gift of basketball tickets to the game... he was ecstatic!
After dinner, we made our way across the street to the Staples Center and found our seats... which happened to be great seats to see all the live action!
The crowd was full of energy and it was an exciting game from beginning to end... the Thunder got off to a great start and then the Clippers slowly caught up and won the game by a few points! It was a close one.
It was a great way to celebrate Cliff's birthday and hang out... he was as happy as can be and we agreed that our plan was very well executed. Happy Birthday Cliff!
