4th of July Weekend

Happy 4th of July! We had a relaxing and fun-filled three days off... much needed! We started the holiday weekend off by retreating to our favorite spa in Westlake Village for some relaxing spa & pool time...

4th of July morning we decided to head down to the beach early, making a pit-stop at our new favorite coffee shop Kean's, and renting bikes. Riding along Balboa's boardwalk gave us a dose of July 4th holiday spirit! Everyone was out being crazy and enjoying the day.. all in good fun!

Afterwards we relaxed at our pool and my family joined us for the last time before their departure back to Germany. We played frisbee, enjoyed margarita's, and took dips in the pool.

We will miss you Dasa and Domi! Have a safe trip home!

Instead of fighting crowds to watch fireworks, Ry and I had a lovely dinner at Pelican Hill, which overlooked about 3 firework shows! It was so nice relaxing, eating a delicious meal, and seeing the shows!

Sunday we shopped some of the sales at Fashion Island and South Coast and then met Kim and Jon for dinner at Bandera's... Kim's cousin and wife were visiting from Toronto so we wanted to show off our favorite spot!

The perfect ending to our long, but never long enough, holiday weekend!
