We've been wanting to visit Lake Las Vegas for a while now and found out they had built a brand-new Ritz Carlton so we decided to book and have a late summer get-a-way! We drove this time since Lake Las Vegas is too far from the Vegas Airport and it wasn't all that bad... we left Saturday morning and made it there by lunch time.
We checked into the Ritz and loved our room... we got settled and walked around all the grounds... everything there is built like Italy... they even had a pretend Ponte Vecchio like in Florence... it was so neat! We found a nice cafe right on the water to have lunch... we sat on the patio and took it all in. While exploring around, we found this really cute Italian wine bar and decided to make reservations for dinner that night... it seemed like the perfect spot to continue pretending we were in Italy! And so it was... we ordered a bunch of small plates and shared. Everything was delicious and we tried lots of different wines. After dinner, the area was hopping with bars and nightlife so we decided to hang out at a cigar lounge where we had a cigar and a night-cap... great way to end our night!
After our late night of partying (haha) we slept in and woke up to beautiful sunshine! We went to the lobby for coffee and had breakfast outside... it was so relaxing.
After breakfast, we walked around the Ritz... such a pretty hotel with perfectly manicured gardens.
We had to make one more visit across the Ponte Vecchio... I was so impressed that it totally felt like we were in Florence (minus all the crowds!) After walking around, we got our gear on and went to the gym for a little work out... followed by some much needed pool time.
We spent the day by the pool and had drinks and lunch pool-side... we sun bathed until the very last moment when it was time to drive back home. What a fun little weekend adventure... we are so glad to have finally explored Lake Las Vegas... we would definitely love to come back!
