Since Easter this year was cold and rainy, we decided to have a progressive Easter Brunch at our place and then my mom's! We started off at our church for their Easter Sunday service and from there went to our place. 
Although it was rainy, I still had to pretend it was a spring Easter day so I set the table accordingly! We had a Champagne brunch with Split Pea Soup and a Walnut and Pear Salad. Since the dessert course was to be at my mom's, we had a pre-dessert of Easter chocolate truffles... can't have an Easter without chocolate.
After brunch, we headed over to my mom's for coffee and a delicious rhubarb cake she made... although we were still full from lunch, we managed to cake it up... what better occasion. With full tummies, we made it to the beach for a walk and the sun decided to peak out just for us! It ended up being the perfect Easter day regardless of glooming clouds... hope to have our Spring weather soon!
