We drove two and a half hours, through beautiful green country side and arrived to our town, Valasske Klobouky. My cousin let us into our flat and we unloaded our bags. It's so good to be home! We went through a quick walk through town, Ryan remembered everything as if it were just yesterday he was there!
We surprised my Grandma with our arrival, it was SO good to see her... I love her to death! She made us tea and coconut bars and we told her about our travels. After visiting with my grandma, we walked over to my Grandpa's home where he greeted us with Slivovic (his famous home-made plum brandy). We caught up and he showed Ry his garage that's filled with boy toys (tractors, an antique car, motorcycle, etc.)... Ry was impressed!
Afterwards, we went back to my Grandma's for dinner. My parents had just arrived from Prague so we had a big family dinner... it was SO nice to have everyone together!
The following morning we went down to the market to get fresh rolls and food for breakfast... nothing is better than getting to buy your food right before you eat it! Then we went to town to visit my aunt at work, she is a pediatric nurse and she showed us where she takes care of all the babies! We then went and visited my other aunt, she is a social worker so we got to see her office as well. Then we looked around the shops and decided to check out the new pizza restaurant in town... 2 Czech beers and 4 pizzas later, we were having a great lunch!
Thursday night we had our big family reunion dinner at a traditional restaurant in town. Everyone came from all over to be here and it's very rare to have everyone in one place like this... I was SO appreciative and enjoyed every moment!
We drank, ate and were all merry!
Thankfully we did not have hangovers the next morning (like last time) so we went to a famous spa town that's known for their warm wafers with whatever filling you like. Ry got Chocolate Chili and I got Dark Chocolate.
My cousins met us there for coffee so we got to catch up on their lives, I'm so proud of the fine men they have become!
On our last night, since my aunt frequents Switzerland for work, she made us a special Swiss dinner... she grilled filet mignon with mushrooms and underneath the grill she melted cheese that we smothered on some oven roasted potatoes... it was delicious!!
My other cousin from Germany and his girlfriend came to see us on our last night so we got to have another family dinner together. Lots of toasts and then it was time to say good-bye...
The worst part EVER is saying good-bye to this one... she is my angel and I hate that she lives so far away! We went to bed early for an early start back to the airport. My parents came with us so it was nice to have their company.
We had to have one last European coffee and pastry before we left... I think we officially did our fair share of coffee drinking and pastry eating!! All well worth it of course. Good-bye Austria and Czech.. until we meet again soon :)

There is nothing like spending time with family! If only there were a way to bring two worlds together, huh? I wish that were possible all of the time. Still, you make the most of the time you get and hope it holds you over until next time. Love seeing your pictures, reading your stories, and sharing your special moments :)
