This year for Labor Day we decided to explore the island of Oahu. It was a short 4 hour non-stop flight into Honolulu and we were graced with Hawaii's warm climate- nothing can be better! We rented a car and drove west to JW Marriott's beautiful Ihilani Resort- what a perfect place to vacation! We quickly changed into our swimming attire and hit up the beach and pool!
We lounged pool side with our favorite rum and pineapple cocktails and relaxed, just what the doctor ordered! The resort was tucked away on 3 bays so we walked along the paved sidewalk and enjoyed the lush scenery and pristine blue water.
Sunday we took a day trip to Honolulu and checked out Waikiki Beach... SO crowded! We were definitely thankful to be staying at our secluded resort! Regardless, we found two lounge chairs and soaked up the Waikiki lifestyle. We looked at the pretty beach-side hotels and checked out a couple shops.
We had some delicious dinners at our hotel and watched magnificent sunsets, Hawaii never ceases to amaze us.
It was a short but sweet trip, we were thankful to at least get a taste of Hawaii for whatever time we could! Can't wait to go back!
